Kansas Paranormal Research Society (KPRS)
Code of Ethics
Our team members and our Code of Ethics are a direct reflection of the standards KPRS wishes to uphold not only within the team but within the community. It is important that our members adhere to these simple, yet valuable ethics, not only during an investigation or team event, but at all times.
KPRS members will:
1 .Be objective and reliable in the handling of client’s situation and information. Members will listen with an open mind and be realistic about all possibilities surrounding the situation.
2. Be honest with the client about the situation and the teams abilities and make it a practice and professional courtesy to refer clients to others that may be able to help their situation if the need should arise.
3.Be professional in the handling of all matters including interviews, investigations, reveals, events, and meetings.
4.Hold all client information in the strictest confidence and no evidence will be presented in the presence of any third party without the consent of the client.
5.Keep in mind that clients may suffer a lot of trauma in their situation and be considerate and understanding during the interview, investigation, and reveal process.
6.Agree to handle all situations in a timely manner and work directly with the client to schedule appointments, investigations, and reveals.
7.Present all evidence gathered pertaining to the clients situation during the reveal and explain it in a way that is understandable to the client.
8.Continue to educate themselves on the most up to date information, equipment, and techniques in the field so as to provide the best possible information and experience for the client.
9.Not charge for any investigation related services.
10.Work to educate the public about the paranormal and help better their community through various events and contributions to area charities.
11.Not discriminate or allow discrimination of any kind within the team.
